Ohio Parents Overdose on Heroin, Leave Newborn Strapped into a Carseat

Ohio police are calling a 5-year-old a hero after he saved three lives following his parent’s heroin overdose.

The child allegedly walked a few blocks to his grandparent’s house and announced that his parents were dead. The parents were found passed out inside the home while their newborn child was still strapped in a car seat. Both Lee Johnson and Chelsie Marshall were revived at a local hospital. After being revived, the father admitted to using heroin. The 5-year-old was rewarded with a badge for his bravery.

Johnson and Marshall have been charged with child endangering.
