Missing Georgia Inmate Arrested After Brief Manhunt

An inmate has been arrested after escaping from a Georgia correctional facility and leading police on a brief manhunt.

According to 11 Alive News in Atlanta, Dennis Carlyle was found Sunday night. Carlyle went missing Saturday afternoon while serving in a work release program. This program allows offenders to live in a transitional center and participate in different programs. Carlyle will lose these privileges as he returns to prison.

Police say Carlyle was convicted of a robbery in 2017 and handed a 7 year sentence. Additional charges will be filed.
